What we do?

Comfort and Grace Women Initiative (COGWI) is a God-given vision built on the values of compassion—to honor, support, empower, and inspire widows who are truly in need (1 Timothy 5:3). Our mission is to help them achieve financial stability, self-sufficiency, and to become role models within their communities.

At COGWI, we pay diligent attention to widows and their well-being, offering both practical and spiritual support. As James 1:27 reminds us, “Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”

We are committed to advocating for widows, reframing the narrative around widowhood, and addressing their spiritual, emotional, and financial needs. Our work is about lifting women from despair to hope—ensuring that no widow is left behind.

Our initiatives align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as addressing the challenges widows face directly or indirectly contributes to the achievement of SDGs 1 (No Poverty), 2 (Zero Hunger), 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 4 (Quality Education), and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

Through empowerment programs such as entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and community support, COGWI is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where widows can rebuild their lives, thrive with dignity, and inspire future generations.
